Welcome to my Chaos!

Welcome to Motherhood Unmastered

Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had and dealing with fears you never knew existed.

— Linda Wooten.

This is the first post on my new blog, Motherhood Unmastered, so WELCOME! I’m so glad you’re here and I’m even more excited to share with you why I decided to start this blog.

I’ve always loved Pinterest and the thousands of saved posts I have accrued are proof. So there was no question when I found out I was pregnant, Pinterest was my go-to. Is my child meeting her milestones? Pinterest. How to cope with a lack of sleep? Pinterest. Cutest baby clothes this season? Pinterest. What color should her poop be? Pinterest. It quickly became my “google,” as well as my source of loss of confidence in my own parenting.

I looked at the perfectly put together posts and wondered, “How do all these moms have it so together when I’m just trying to keep my head above water?” Now don’t get me wrong, Pinterest is still my go-to for all things mom, but I’ve since taken off my rose-colored glasses and now look at the “pinterest-worthy memories” as only a snapshot in an entire memory.

That’s why I’m here! I want to share with you all of my own Pinterest worthy moments, but more so, I want to share with you the nitty-gritty everyday stuff of being a mom in a day where the picture perfect moments are all we’re seeing. Let’s instead dig deeper, and explore the beautiful chaos that is Motherhood. I don’t have this parenting thing mastered, and I don’t think anyone does, but we can all be in this together, one crazy parenting moment at a time.

All my love,

Chelsi
