** I received products to test for this blog post at no charge. All opinions and recommendations are my own**
When my oldest was a baby, she had terrible cradle cap (or cradle crap, as we affectionately call it in our home). I felt like I tried everything, but was at my wits end. I decided just to search amazon for ‘cradle cap remedies.’
I read product description after product description, looked at fancy bottles, then plain bottles, name brands, and ones I had never heard of. I stumbled upon Happy Cappy Shampoo. The description looked promising, even though I had never heard of Dr. Eddie’s. I took a chance and ordered the Medicated Shampoo for Seborrheic Dermatitis (aka Cradle C(r)ap).
I got it quickly and gave it a shot. Within a week, my daughter’s terrible, thick patches of cradle cap seemed to disappear. What?! Yes! I was a Dr. Eddie’s Happy Cappy believer.
Fast forward to my second daughter. She also had cradle cap but not nearly as bad as my first. I pulled the Happy Cappy out right away and it did it’s job in a matter of days.
As a firm believer in the company, I decided to follow them on Instagram. That’s where I noticed they were coming out with a new product, Moisturizing Cream. I decided to reach out to the company to see if they would send me some to try for you all! None other than Dr, Eddie, himself, replied to my email, and graciously agreed to send me some to try, so I could share my thoughts with all of you!
I’m a firm believer in not promoting products that I don’t 100% love, so I tested the three products (Medicated Shampoo, Daily Shampoo and Body Wash, and Moisturizing Cream) for several weeks to reeeeeaaallllyy make sure that I loved them and was confident recommending them.
They did NOT disappoint.
I didn’t think I could love anything more than the medicated shampoo, but I am in LOVE with the moisturizing cream. My oldest has mild eczema and by the next day, she stopped complaining of the itch. I even tried it on a rash baby Mayla developed, and it worked like a charm. It’s not greasy and doesn’t feel sticky at all. I loved it on them so much, I’ve even started using it on areas of my skin that get irritated. It truly has long-lasting hydration, and is a dry, itchy skin miracle.
I mentioned I’ve used the Medicated Shampoo and it’s also a miracle worker, but I had never heard of their Daily Shampoo and Body Wash. My youngest no longer has cradle cap (thanks to Dr. Eddie’s), but I continued to use the medicated shampoo from time to time, with another company’s shampoo in between. Now I don’t have to!
The shampoo and body wash is light and I love using products that I know are safe for my family. This product is exactly that! It has natural ingredients with soothing properties, oatmeal, licorice root, and aloe vera (along with some other great stuff!), is cruelty free, and vegan! You can’t get much better than that!
All Happy Cappy products are dermatologist, clinically tested, fragrance free, dye free, sulfate free, paraben free, and phthalate free.
These products were designed by a pediatrician (the amazing Dr. Eddie Valenzuela) after he was sick and tired of the problem that was cradle cap, both for his family and all of his patients. He took years of careful consideration and testing to make sure he was putting out the absolute best and safest product.
I wholeheartedly believe in these products, and they are the ONLY things I will recommend when it comes to treating cradle cap, or eczema prone skin.
I promise, you won’t be disappointed in giving these a shot!
All my love,
